Tigers To Play Pair In NS

Tiger fans will have to wait an extra week to see their team live at the Memorial Civic Center because the Campbellton squad will be paying a visit to two South Division teams this coming weekend. Their first stop Friday evening will be in Berwick, NS where they will suit up against the Valley Wildcats. The Tigers picked up two wins versus Valley back in October with one coming in the MHL Showcase.  Since then the fortunes of the teams have varied greatly with the Tigers now sitting in second place in the North and the Wildcats mired in the bottom spot in the South. Also, looking to the future, Valley has been very active making trades including the one on January 9th which moved forward Matt Warner into the Tiger ranks. This game, scheduled for 7:00 PM will be featured as the free game of the week on HockeyTV. To access it at that time click here.

The Bearcats from Truro will provide the opposition for the Tigers on Saturday. Their last meeting in Campbellton provided fans with some exciting hockey as both goaltenders, Isaak Pelletier for the Tigers  and Myles Hektor for Truro registered shut-outs. The Bearcats eventually earned the extra point in a shootout which itself was stretched out to five shooters. Both teams presently have forty-five points after thirty-five games and are basically even in the goals against department while Campbellton has scored twenty-eight more goals. Game time in Truro is also 7:00 PM.
