Tigers Named To League All-Star Teams

Members of the Tigers have fared well in the MHL’s All-Star Team selections for 2018-19. Selected as defencemen were the Tigers’  Twin Towers of Defence, Pierre-Luc Lurette and Francis Thibeault. Whether used together as they often were on the power-play, or separately to anchor other defensive pairings, both Francis and Pierre-Luc were forces to be reckoned with when on the ice. Whereas the offensive-minded Lurette led the Tigers in points with eighteen goals and thirty assists, Thibeault was more of a defensive leader. However, he did manage to tie for the lead in assists for all league defencemen. His stellar play throughout this regular season also earned him the  Defenceman Of The Year Award.

Tiger fans will be pleased to hear that Dawson Stairs accomplishments since joining the team have been recognized with his inclusion on this year’s  MHL Rookie All-Star Team. In only twenty-four games, Dawson has racked up twenty-eight points including five game winning goals. A strong two-way player, Stairs combines toughness and skill in all the challenging areas of the ice and continues to frustrate opponents and to delight the Tiger faithful with his determined play.
