Tigers Drop Game One In Double OT

In front of sixteen hundred fans, the largest crowd to date, the Tigers jumped out to a two goal lead thanks to scores in each of the first two periods by Kyle Petten, the game’s second star. Coleton Perry and Pascal Valcourt assisted on the first, a powerplay effort, while Perry also helped on the second. In the third period the determined Blizzard battled back to tie it all on goals by Logan Johnston and Sam King, sending the game into overtime. In the first ten minute OT frame, both goalies were perfect with Tristan Gray keeping the Tigers in it by stopping a penalty shot. In the second extra time Gabriel Vanier sealed the deal for the Blizzard when his shot found its way past Gray to end the game. Gray made thirty-six saves on the night. The teams will be back at it again on Sunday in Edmundston where the game is set for 7:30 pm.
