Tigers To Return With Home Pair

The Tigers will have had a full dozen days to rest since their last game but they will return to action with a flurry by hosting a pair of games at the Memorial civic Center.  On Friday, Jan. 4th, the Timberwolves will visit to play a game that had been rescheduled due to bad weather back on November 16th. To date Campbellton has taken all three of the previous meetings between these long-time rivals including two in Miramichi. The Timberwolves, who struggled into the Christmas break were not able to register a win in December and would dearly love to end that streak as early as possible in 2019. Also, the Aces from St. Stephen have caught up with  Miramichi in fourth place in the North standings making every point crucial for both those teams.

The Tigers are sitting in a more comfortable spot with their thirty-seven points giving them second place, three less than the Caps and three more than the Blizzard. However, they have played more games than both Summerside (five) and Edmundston (two). Head to head games between the Tigers and these opponents will be of the four-point variety for the remainder of the season. Such will be the case  for the second game of the weekend for the Tigers when they host Edmundston on Saturday. Campbellton has won three of five games versus the Blizzard with two of the victories coming in overtime.
