Tigers Win One, Drop One

The Tigers notched a 5-2 win Friday night versus a talented and determined Lumberjacks team. Scoring for Campbellton were Pascal Valcourt with two, Coleton Perry, newcomer Dawson Stairs, on a penalty shot and Dylan Coffey with a short-handed empty-netter. Assists went to Valcourt, Coffey, Antoine Gauthier, Pierre-Luc Lurette plus Joel Walker with a pair. Isaak Pelletier made thirty-four saves to register the win. South Shore’s Logan O’Neil was the game’s third star while Walker was second and Valcourt, first.
On Saturday night on the Island, Campbellton dominated the play but still suffered a 3-0 loss. The Tigers peppered the Caps’ goalie, Dominik Tmej with fifty-nine shots but were unable to force anything over the goal line. Tmej’s incredible performance which included stopping a number of break-aways earned him first game star honours. For his outstanding two-way play, Logan Kelly-Murphy got the nod for the game’s second star. In the Tigers’ net, Tristan Gray made eighteen stops in the loss.
The Tigers sit alone in second place in the North, five points behind the Caps and four points ahead of Edmundston.
