Tigers Make Picks at 2020 MHL Entry Draft

The 2020 Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) Entry Draft was conducted on Saturday, June 13th where The Tigers selected 10 new players for the roster. The draft was held entirely online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The first two rounds were broadcast live in New Brunswick on Rogers TV.  Most of Campbellton’s picks were consolidated in the first few rounds due to trades made over the last couple of seasons.

Our first pick was Camden Pellerine of the NSMMHL’s Dartmouth Steele Subaru, first round & seventh overall . The Stillwater Lake, N.S. native had six goals and 14 assists in 31 games with Dartmouth in 2019-20.

Also in the first round, at ninth overall, we selected forward Cael MacDonald. In 33 games with the Halifax McDonald’s last season, he posted 15 goals and 13 assists. MacDonald also tallied six assists in ten playoff games.

In the second round, 13th overall, we selected Kiefer Lyons from the Saint John Vitos.

Our second selection in the second round, 15th overall, was Ben Mercer from Dartmouth Steele Subaru.

Also in the second round, 16th overall, we selected Noah Comeau from Cole Harbour.

Our lone pick of the third round is Corey Parsons, towering in at 6′ 5″ hailing from Bareneed Newfoundland.

At 37th overall in the 4th round, we picked up Jarrett Todd from the Halifax McDonalds.

Again in the 4th round, we picked up Nolan Stewart of the Charlottown .

In the 5th round we snagged Justin David from the Northern Moose, as 57th overall.

Last but certainly not least, is William Forbes, our final pick, a goaltender from the Dartmouth Voyagers in the 6th round, 72nd overall.
