Tigers Claw way to 3-1 Series Lead

The Tigers battled hard Saturday night to secure a 3-2 win in game four of the series versus the Western Capitals. In both the first and second period, Dawson Stairs set up the game’s second star, Jared Janke for the Tigers’ first pair of goals but the Caps cut into the lead near the seven minute mark of the middle frame. In the third period, Drew Toner, (third game star), assisted by Logan Kelly-Murphy and Charles-William Gagné restored Campbellton’s two goal lead. However, TJ Shea scored on a powerplay to notch up the tension on the ice and in the stands. But, that was it for the scoring as the game`s first star, Tristan Gray, with thirty-one saves, earned his seventh playoff win.  Dominil Tmej, whose skilled efforts in the Caps’ net kept them within striking distance, took the loss.

The scene now shifts to Summerside for game five on Monday night at 8:00 pm.
