Tigers Announce Team Leaders

The Tigers have announced their players’ leadership group for the 2019-20 season. Included in the selections are four talented athletes who will provide quality leadership on the ice, in the dressing room and in the community.

The Tigers Captain for the 2019-20 season will be veteran forward, Pascal Valcourt. A native of St. Quentin, Valcourt, as a twenty year old, is looking forward to his third year with the Tigers. Since coming to Campbellton, he has always been an consistent offensive threat and has annually been in the group of Tigers’ top point-getters. Pascal’s hard work ethic and his commitment to the team has earned him the respect of his teammates, the coaching staff and the fans as well.

Alongside Pascal, serving as alternate captains are William Basque, Joel Walker and Coleton Perry. Basque played for the Tigers during the 2015-16 season before moving on to Gatineau in the Q for three seasons. The Tigers are counting on his experience to add greatly to the team both defensively and on the scoreboard.

Since becoming a full-time Tiger in 2017, Joel Walker, the epitome of a hard skating, tough checking forward, has been a leader through example. This season, with an “A” on his uniform, he  will undoubtedly continue to inspire his teammates to give their best.

Filling out the Tigers’ leadership is Summerside native, Coleton Perry who is in his third season with Campbellton.  Last year, Coleton nearly doubled his point production over his rookie season and this year is expected to be a large part of Tigers success this campaign.
